Update on Texas
Posted March 15th, 2009Hi y’all. It’s now day 3 at SXSW09 and Kieron, Matt and myself are really enjoying the Texan hospitality. They are all soo nice here. The weather isn’t very nice, but hey, can’t expect everything. Saying that, the weather is going to apparently be a lot better from tomorrow. Bring it on!! The nightlife, especially on the Friday night when we had a wander to 5th and 6th was amazing. Just full of people enjoying life, music and of course plenty of drink!
The blend of old downtown buildings and the new spanking clean high-risers is quite a contrast and the whole downtown is a bit of a mind-boggling experience and a great culture shock, but in a totally good way.
Kieron and I did down 2 Tequilla’s each (yeah, I know not much) at the local Mexican restuarant and all 3 of us had a great time, even to the point that when Kieron went to the restroom, we moved tables AND cutlery, cups, salt and pepper pots etc only to be told by Kieron he DID know as the table design was different! Bugger! :-) Going back to the Tequilla though, we actually had a choice of which one we would like! I may stay here 4eva! Haha!
