The Internet is the world's largest library. It's just that all the books are on the floor.
- John Allen Paulos
During my 39 years as a resident of this beautiful planet, I have seen many things. Things that would scare the bravest of men and reduce them to piles of shivering wrecks stuck in a corner rocking to and fro' muttering incomprehensible words. Things like 80's fashion and the Sinclair C5. I will keep this information to a minimum for your reading pleasure.
I was born in Norwich, Norfolk where I spent the first 5 years of my life playing with my younger brother on a building site much to the disgust of my mother. Not that we didn't have a garden, we did, but our house was on a new build area, so the look of the shiny diggers was a big appeal to a couple of todlers and it didn't take much to cross the garden boundary at the back and onto the lovely dry muddy contours of the field.
After we moved away from the busy lifestyle of the city to a smaller town south of Norwich, I was educated in a basic but fantasitc set of state schools: junior, middle and comprehensive and it was then I took a keen interest in computers (Oops, here comes Sir Clive Sinclair!). Of course, the internet, was not as we know it now and we had to get use to a ZX1 or if you were lucky a Spectrum 48K.
I was blissfully unaware of the future of the home computer and moved away into Drama and Music where I put to work my acting skills on stage with the local amdram group before heading off to the musical heights of Trombone playing with the Youth Orchestra.
My career started as an office junior before moving up the ladder of the insurance world via various brokers and then moving to Norwich Union as a claims handler. This bored me quite quickly and I was back in the saddle of computers and IT geeky playstuff.
I became an IT Security Administrator with an IBM qualififcation in RACF for 4 years before moving into Web Development, which I still am and absolutely love. I specialise in HTML & CSS with Javascript, SEO, Web Standards and Photoshop design under my belt too.
