Welcome!

My name is Andy Woodrow and I'm a Web Development Consultant based in Norfolk. I currently work with a team responsible for maintenance, design and consultancy for over 90 sites in our portfolio under the 3 main brands under Aviva. Namely, Norwich Union, RAC and BSM. I have been working for Norwich Union since 1998 and within the Web Operations Team since 2006.

Why Web Development?

I've always found an interest in computer's and ICT and when I started building the intranet site for my old team in 2000, I found the internet, web and Photoshop and was pretty much taken over by it's potential.

Since then, I have trained in various technologies and software from Frontpage to Dreamweaver, Paint Shop Pro to Fireworks and Photoshop. Switching from Windows to Mac in 2004 was a big turning point for me with regards to the design aspect of web development and havn't look back. However, I am still competent in both Operating Systems.

With the (not so recent) advent of AJAX, Web 2.0 and DOM Scripting, the web is becoming an ever increasing potential for pretty much anything.
